Over a decade ago, birth photography in South Africa was pioneered by a handful of passionate photographers with a vision to capture the most powerful moments in a family’s story. Today, SABPA represents more than 90 registered birth photographers working across South Africa and into Namibia — and that number continues to grow.
Our mission remains the same as it was at the beginning: to ensure that every family who wants their birth story documented has access to a skilled, professional and registered photographer who will honour that privilege with the care and expertise it deserves.
Namibia | Birth Photographer
SABPA’s presence extends beyond South Africa’s borders into Namibia, where Janice Thompson has been representing the profession with dedication and professionalism. Janice is based in Kleine Kuppe, Windhoek and serves families across the Namibian capital.
Limpopo | Birth Photographer
In Limpopo, Christine Breedt of Cradle & Capture is SABPA’s registered birth photographer based in Polokwane. Christine brings a skilled and compassionate approach to documenting births in the region.
Mpumalanga | Birth Photographers
Mpumalanga has seen wonderful growth in recent years and we are proud to have a strong team of registered photographers serving families across the province.
